Health Camp

Health camp report: Itarsi Under the banner of CIMS and support from Career College of Nursing organized a health camp in Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh, on 4th January 2026, to deliver essential health services, foster awareness, and afford practical community health exposure. Objectives encompassed free check-ups, early detection of ailments, health education on nutrition and hygiene, and skill enhancement for participants. The event, supported by six nursing students from 4th year—Braj Kishor Mishra, Abhineet, Chetan, Purushottam, Trikanshay, and Rahul—alongside seven staff, including one oncologist, two general physicians, and four volunteers, drew substantial community participation. Activities included patient registration, vital signs monitoring (blood pressure, pulse, and temperature), general examinations, specialised consultations, cancer awareness sessions, preventive counselling, and referrals for advanced care. Nursing students managed records, assisted clinicians, educated attendees, ensured hygiene, and coordinated crowds. Total 160 clients were screened on that day. Communities gained free assessments, early interventions, and referrals, while students honed clinical acumen, communication, teamwork, and leadership amid real-world scenarios. The camp concluded with certificates distributed by the chief guest, who commended the team's dedication and urged ongoing involvement in public health initiatives. This triumph advanced preventive care, community well-being, and nursing proficiency.
